Last week as part of our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and to celebrate our amazing mums we organised a Mother’s morning tea. All the food was prepared by the students using produce from our school garden. We made carrot muffins, zucchini fritters and scones with orange butter. It was delicious and everyone had a great time. We loved showing off to our mums our fantastic garden and our great cooking skills. Thanks mums!!

It has some recipes, video clips and games. We watched some of the video clips in class. They gave us lots of information about the types of food we need to eat to stay fit and healthy. You can even play a game to see how much you have learnt.

Over the past few weeks, we have been trialling a new website called Bitstrips for Schools. We have had so much fun creating our own comics. First we had to design own own comic character. Then we made a comic introducing ourselves.
We have also used the comics to explain the different types of word problems in Maths and to tell a story in English. There are so many fantastic ways we can use this website to practise and share our learning.
